# Workspace settings

> Team identity, chat platforms, personality and standing instructions, capabilities, and exports.

## Preferences

**Settings → Preferences** shapes how Henry behaves for everyone in the workspace. Two of its settings are personal and the rest are workspace-wide.

| Setting                    | Scope     | What it does                                                                                                                                                              |

| **Appearance**             | You       | System, Light, or Dark.                                                                                                                                                   |
| **Thinking in chat**       | You       | Show Henry's live reasoning **Collapsed** (one quiet line) or **Expanded**.                                                                                               |
| **Personality**            | Workspace | How Henry comes across, such as "Direct and no-nonsense" or "Warm and encouraging".                                                                                       |
| **Workspace instructions** | Workspace | Standing instructions Henry follows in every conversation. Examples: "Always write in English in public channels", "Push back on questionable ideas", "Don't use emojis". |

Click **Save preferences**.

  Workspace instructions are the best place for house rules: preferred formats, things Henry should always check, tools to prefer. Keep them short and concrete.

## Team settings

**Settings → Team settings**, admins only.

* **Team image**, **Team name**, and **Company website**. Henry reads the website to learn about your company.
* **Chat platforms.** Connect, reconnect, or disconnect Slack and Microsoft Teams. When both are connected, choose the **Default surface** for reports and reminders not tied to a conversation.
* **Capabilities.** The workspace-level Agent Browser switch.
* **Coding agent access.** Reveal or regenerate the token used by Henry's coding agent in CI. See the [Developer Guide](/developer-guide/coding-agent).
* **Export workspace data.** Request a machine-readable archive of the workspace. See [Security and compliance](/user-guide/admin/security-and-compliance).
* **General.** Your **Team ID**, with a copy button, for support conversations.

Which model powers Henry and how deeply it reasons is set in **Settings → Models**. See [Choosing a model](/user-guide/models/choosing-a-model).

## Notifications

Integration alerts are a personal setting in **Settings → Notifications**. Billing notifications (low balance, trial ending, payment problems, spend caps) go to workspace owners and admins on the workspace's default chat platform, or by email when none is connected.
