Drafts and previews

A task Henry authored for you starts as a Draft. Click Run preview to run it once against your real data. The preview result is posted to your Slack DM with Henry (or your Teams chat), so you can check the output before the task goes live.

Activate

When you are happy with the preview, the Ready to activate card lists every write tool the task will use without asking each time. If the task only reads, it says so. Click Activate task. This is the task’s one approval. From now on its scheduled runs execute those tools unattended and never stage confirmation cards.

Run now

The Run now action in the task menu (or “run the renewal check now” in chat) runs the real task immediately, regardless of its schedule or trigger. Only the task’s creator or a workspace admin can run or authorize a task. System tasks can be run by anyone.

Pause and resume

Pause from the list, the task page, or chat. A paused task keeps its history and authorizations and resumes exactly as it was.

When a run is blocked

If a run needs a write tool that has not been authorized, that step is blocked. The run finishes what it can and the run record shows the blocked tool with an Authorize button. Authorize it and the next run proceeds unattended. Click Run now to redo the run immediately.

Recent runs

Each run in the history shows its status (Running, No update, Blocked, Failed, or Needs auth), the model used, what it cost in credits, and a preview of what it posted. Runs skipped by a trigger show as skipped. See Triggers.

Learnings

Henry keeps notes from past runs on the task page under Learnings: quirks it discovered, formats that worked, things to skip. You can edit or clear them. Learnings carry across runs so the task gets better without you touching the instructions.

Deleting a task

Choose Delete task from the task menu, or ask Henry in chat. System tasks cannot be deleted.
